For someone urging the use of “propper grammer”… proper spelling is just as important as proper GRAMMAR. Hasselbeck’s maiden name is Filarski… which sounds Polish to me.

Will Stape has it right on all counts.

Would you consider Dr. Phil a "scholar"? Anyone who does is more of an idiot than Jade. Jade, when you call someone an idiot, use proper grammer. Also people who resort to profanity are just low class. Now calm down, take a deep breath and read some more unalterable logic.

All doctors are not scholars. Dr. Phil a scholar? Dr. Ruth a scholar? No, indeed not. Clearly anyone who would attack someone they don't know who's just pointing out the obvious that Chopra is no real scholar - he's on par with Dr. Ruth, Dr. Phil & tons of other media created fly-by nights - is not only incorrect, but in serious need of a doctor themselves.

As Will Stape correctly pointed out, Elizabeth Hasselbeck is Italian American - for the writer not to have known this makes him look like an amateur. He should be the one apologizing to Italian Americans.

Webster dictionary definition of scholar- a person who has done advanced study in a special field- So yes bitch, if you hold a M.D. you are in fact a scholar

1. He is a scholar. A scholar is a "learned person specializing in a discipline" -- his is medicine.

2. He has Buddhist ideals which is reflective of his nationality/race.

The article was well-informed and well-written. Before you go attacking the writer, ensure that your facts are factual. Elisabeth just apologized as she agreed that she was out of line with her comments.

Several things made me chuckle for such inaccuracy or distortion. Calling Deepak Chopra a “scholar” is a stretch. He’s a doctor & has written books – scholar? Everyone who has a medical degree a scholar? Don’t think so. Plus the fact legitimate scientists – including JAMA – have called into question his use of “science” is troubling. Incense isn’t an “Indian” thing – it’s biblical, used in many cultures & it’s connected to “new age” Hasselbeck was riffing on Chopra’s “new age” sensibilities. New Agers may be spiritual & wonderful people – they’re not a race. Finally, you’re ill informed when it comes to a weak joke about Hasselbeck attacking Joy Behar for being an Italian American. Hasselbeck IS ITALIAN AMERICAN. Please, get the facts straight before publishing something so lacking in fact.
