Mimi Macpherson Faces Bankruptcy!

I can’t work out what’s worse for Mimi Macpherson – that she’s in deep financial trouble, or that her star has dipped so low, the Herald Sun feels it necessary to use her sister’s name in the headline of the article where her money woes are listed for public consumption.

Mimi Macpherson, sister of Elle, may be known for a raunchy blackmarket video, but she could lose her shirt permanently this week if she is declared bankrupt. The property entrepreneur and award-winning businesswoman is on the verge of bankruptcy after failing to pay a six-figure design bill relating to one of her company’s property developments.

Omiros One sued Ms Macpherson’s company in the Federal Court and a lengthy and protracted court case then ensued – resulting in Omiros’s favour. Ms Macpherson’s company was ordered to pay the amount to Omiros plus associated legal costs that could be in the vicinity of several hundred thousand dollars.

Although her company, PM Developments, has been wound up, Omiros secured a personal guarantee from Ms Macpherson for the work and is now pursuing her in the courts.

Bad news for Mimi. It’s a real pity she didn’t have the copyright on the aforementioned saucy video of yesteryear as I imagine the money from the footage of her coming by handy would have come in handy right about now:(
