Andrew O’Keefe Would Never Set Out To Deliberately Offend Anyone

Although it was Andrew WK who once sang “When it’s time to party, we will party hard!”, it seems it is Australian game show host extraordinaire Andrew O’Keefe who is actually living the dream.

Presenter Andrew O’Keefe is embroiled in a scandal involving him allegedly caught out on a video at the centre of a bitter spat between networks Seven and Nine. Channel 9 has claimed rival Channel 7 forked out a large sum of money to keep secret a video of its major star misbehaving.

Ooooer! Today in the Herald Sun, Andrew O’Keefe has spoken up about being sprung “flat on his back with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth” and then later “seen crawling along the footpath before struggling to his feet and heading off along the footpath with a blonde female friend” (which incidentally seems like a standard night at Revolver – from what I’ve heard, of course).

The shamed host of the family-friendly game show Deal or No Deal last night did not deny that he was caught in an intoxicated state outside a South Yarra nightclub last month.

“I thrive on hard work and when the work is done I like to gather everyone together and celebrate, as we have so much to celebrate from what has been a very successful year,” O’Keefe said.

“Let me reassure everyone that I am a family man, and take that very seriously, and would never set out to deliberately offend anyone.”

I’ve heard many tales about Andrew’s hard partying ways, but I’ve also heard he’s a pretty good bloke to work with – and hey, Channel Seven clearly think he’s a tops dude! Here’s their amazing response to the recent allegations.

“Andrew is fabulous. He’s a great bloke and it’s Christmas. We love him,” a spokesman said.

If the video was taken last month as Channel Nine claims, I hardly think they can attribute his raging ways to a mid-November attack of the Christmas spirit. Unless Channel Seven are just mentioning the fact it’s Christmas in a “Bitch, please – back off and don’t make me answer these ridiculous questions about Andrew O’Keefe when we’re just about to go on holidays”.

I wonder if this is the last we’ll hear of Andrew O’Keefe and his love of hitting the turps? Probably not. Poor Andrew… you should have said NO DEAL to the bartender.

.. NO DEAL to the bartender ay?..

I hate every single show he’s ever been involved with, and I actually have family members (yes, plural) who have been on ‘Deal Or No Deal’ who I mock regularly, but let’s face it – AOK rocks!

Andrew O’Keefe loves hitting the Turps! Battle of the Game Show hosts! Poor Ian Turpie, The ACCC has already successfully “injuncted him from engaging in intercourse in the future” (from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ian_Turpie)

A few years back I was at a bar in the city at closing. Andrew O’Keefe decided to take off his shirt and stand on a table and try and get John Howard’s (the actor) attention, who was standing at the bar rolling his eyes. While we looked stunned at this, the bartender said to us, “Don’t worry, that’s just Andy, he’s always like this”
    Just sayin.

The guy didn’t do any harm to anyone, no drink driving or drugs not abusive just a little drunk, big deal ! Does that make him a bad person ? certainly not. A good hangover should only be his only wrap around the knuckles.

    Good on you Andy !

Andrew didn’t do anything to hurt anyone so why should anyone care how he celebrates his end of year. What a beat-up. Love Andrew.

Wow channel 9 and Herald Sun, Andrew O’Keefe is human ! Leave him alone and stop encouraging idots to stalk tv personalities , invading their privacy.

This guy is a swaggering, pompous jerk. So much for Mr White Ribbon…just another failed, obnoxious lawyer.
