Nicole Kidman’s Awkwardness ‘08 Tour Enters ‘Blame Letterman’ Phase

Nicole Kidman’s cringe-inducing appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman last night is continuing to serve up some aftershocks, and during the star’s appearance on Regis and Kelly today, Regis treated Kidman as though she were promoting her late-night trainwreck, not Australia.

I just watched the interview and felt that letterman clearly over stepped boundaries, he hardly asked any questions about the movie ‘Australia’ and spent most of the interview asking about her husband Keith Urban and his career. I have always felt he is a terrible interviewer, always asking inappropriate questions that have little to do with why the guest is there.

Love this Defamer – Nicole IS so awkward.

Emma – the whole point celebrities go on talk shows is to promote something, and I find Letterman so much more funnier and clever in that he chooses NOT to talk about the movie in this clip. And what about when she pauses to think of what we call Ayers Rock these days… obvs. not much of a thinker that girl.

i also saw the interview live..nicole was cagy about ularu because the renaming is controversal..many opinions on the matter held by the public..she was trying to aviod being sucked into it..dont blame her…big job trying to be an ambassador for a whole country..cause trust me every werd she says on an international stage is picked over phrase by phrase by the aussie media..and they are the harshest critics.do a bad job and u will never live it down..down under..

Das! Your assumptions about Australia are way off. The renaming of ‘ayers rock’ is no longer a controversial issue. That she was unable to find its correct name, that is Uluru, was more a question of the paucity of time she spends in Australia.
