Looks Like The “Dancing Without Pants” Defence Worked For Todd McKenney!

While Defamer Australia knew Todd McKenney was innocent of any wrongdoing after the incident earlier this year which saw the Dancing With The Stars judge discovered unconscious in a park with over $400 worth of GHB in his pocket, it’s nice to finally see the legal system follow our lead.

A drugs charge against Dancing With The Stars judge Todd McKenney has been dropped, New South Wales Police confirmed today.

McKenney had previously indicated he would plead not guilty to one count of possessing the illicit drug GHB.

A NSW Police spokeswoman today said the charge had been dropped.

“Following the receipt of legal advice, police have determined the prospect of a conviction is remote and proceedings will not continue,” the spokeswoman said.

“Police have withdrawn the charges,” she added.

“The prospect of a conviction is remote and proceedings will not continue”? Please, be gracious in defeat, NSW Police. Admit that Todd’s version of events is the gospel truth, and apologise. The man has been through so much! All he wanted to do was dance without pants!

I hope that all junkies can now use “The Mckenney” defence. Or is that just for celebs? By the way, who was looking after his child while he “wasn’t high”?

Good to hear. The whole thing was pretty stupid IMO. And elbogrease, sorry, but that’s a silly petty comment. I imagine the childs mother, a baby-sitter, a relative etc was looking after the kid. Who looks after anyones kids when they go out?

I hear that XXXXX on the opposite side of the park didn’t have his charges dropped. Apparently XXXXX handed over his illegal drugs and told the arresting officer what it was. He was crawling around the ground, obviously out-of-it and spun some story about his drink being spiked. The officer said he knew better because XXXXX had handed over the illicit drugs and actually mentioned it by name.

I’m glad we lock up those evil drug users … unless they’re famous of course.
