Construction Of Supermodel Completed!
Congratulations to Rhys Uhlich who came out on top after last night’s Make Me A Supermodel finale on Channel Seven. Being ridiculously attractive has really paid off for Rhys, who plans - surprise, surprise! - to venture in to television presenting eventually.
Rhys Uhlich has beaten his female competitors to win the model search TV contest Make Me A Supermodel. Uhlich was the surprise winner, over favourite Shanina Shaik and Courtney Chircop on the Seven Network show on Thursday night.
Uhlich wins a contract with Chadwick Model Management, a spread in Marie Claire magazine, and will head to New York for meetings with top agency New York Model Management.
While some have questioned whether they have the goods to become a supermodel, Uhlich said he’s going to take it one step at a time.
“Supermodel is a massive term and by no means do I call myself that, it is something you aspire to,” he said. “I’ll prove myself through what I do.” In the longer term, Uhlich said he had plans to get into TV presenting.
It’s good that Rhys understands the term supermodel has been bandied about in recent years as though it’s going out of style, meaning folks like Cindy Crawford are, career-wise, on par with someone who has appeared in three Myer catalogues. I look forward to seeing him on Celebrity Big Brother. Oh wait! That franchise is dead! Hmmm. We’ll see him somewhere, I’m sure.
