I adore Cate Blanchett and Andrew Upton. I think they seem like a delightful and interesting pair, and I occasionally dream of hosting dinner parties where they attend and everyone gets sweetly shickered and enjoys some intellectual (but joke filled) banter over a couple of bottles of red. But that dream is between me and the security guards at the Sydney Theatre Company, ho ho!

Cate has spoken to Oprah and revealed just why she and her husband Andrew Upton fit together so well. It’s because, well… they fit together so well!

Cate Blanchett has revealed private details of what she looks for in a perfect bedroom mate, in a candid chat with Oprah Winfrey

(When Blanchett was) asked the question, “What were you looking for when you found your husband?”, she replied: “Someone once said to me, and I think it’s quite true, that if your bodies actually fit together when you’re sleeping together in bed – I’m not going to get into too much detail – you’re in good stead. “When you can spoon with someone, then you’re okay. Because you might not vote the same way, you might not have the same politics, but sometimes that works for people.”

Awwwwwwwww. I require some urgent spooning. Or maybe a coffee. I can’t decide.
