You guys need to send me something funny (usual address – jess AT defamer.com.au) so I can take a break from all Janeane Garofalo-related YouTube clips. Please. I love her, but I need a time out from this INTENSE ADORATION of her that’s consuming my days.

    Jess, thanks for bringing this back – my thoughts often drift to this period, as a fan, where garofalo was the only ‘celebrity’ to speak out – at the time she had quite a nice little career going, and once she was labelled a ‘traitor’ during 2003, her work dried up and that was that.

    Flash forward to 2007/8, when it became popular and no-risk to start questioning the war in Iraq – Brangelina et al are right on it – and Janeane has never really recovered. So thanks for remembering that not only was she kick ass funny, but that she also stood up when none else would – she deserves not only our thanks, but our admiration.
