Wise Blogging Advice From The Mercury

Hot Rock Photogroper TM Daniel Boud and yours truly were interviewed by the lovely folks from Tasmanian newspaper The Mercury about blogging. I was asked to give some tips to would-be bloggers, and I believed that during my phone interview with the lovely journalist I had answered carefully, wisely, and thoughtfully.

Then I was sent a scan of what went to print.picturesarenicelol.jpg

I apologise profusely to Tasmanian readers who may have expected me to come up with something slightly more profound than “Always try to use pictures – pictures are nice!”.

I realise that statement makes it seem a little like I’m someone who enjoys finger painting with my own faeces, but I suppose it is sound advice – even if I don’t often take it and forget to include pretty pictures (WHO DOESN’T LOVE PICTURES, DRIBBLE ETC) when I bang out a piece for Defamer Australia.

I also apologise to anyone who has ever noted my bastardisation of tenses and numerous typos in posts and is currently screaming at the screen “YOU HYPOCRITICAL WENCH! DIE! DIE!”

Still, it’s hard to argue with my ability to deliver a shit hot soundbite, isn’t it?
