Rob Guest “Fighting For His Life”

Unfortunately it looks as though sending our best wishes yesterday was a woefully unhelpful thing to do, although our heart was in the right place. The papers are currently reporting that Rob Guest is near death after a stroke on Tuesday night.

Stage and television great Rob Guest was fighting for his life last night after suffering a massive stroke. Guest, who stars as the Wizard of Oz in the hit musical Wicked, had been relaxing at home after his performance on Sunday night when he reported feeling unwell and collapsed at his computer. On Tuesday night he was rushed to Melbourne’s St Vincent’s Hospital with bleeding on the brain.

The former Phantom of the Opera star and host of risqué ’90s television show Man O Man was put on life-support after his condition worsened.

It may not actually do anything, but let’s continue to send our thoughts out to Rob and his family, eh? We’re not always heartless bastards around these parts.
