Looks Like Some Of Top Gear’s Fans Are Really Taking The Rubbishness Of The Australian Version To Heart

Trawling through the 200+ comments on news.com.au on the Top Gear Australia article we referenced earlier today, I was struck by the passion of Top Gear’s fans, and somewhat astounded by how riled up they seemed to be over the disappointing attempt to produce a localised version of the program.

But the following comment was an absolute blinder. Surely someone taking the piss?

I am so upset, almost in tears, my night was ruined from watching this show. I worked hard all day at work, picked up the kiddies from school, cooked dinner, got them ready for bedtime. Told them a story, then settled down to watch this show. I sat there for 5 minutes then ran to the bathroom to get the tissues, I am so upset :( I am so depressed from it I took the day off work.

Luckily, host Charlie Cox (I presume) decided to “turn the beat around”, emotionally speaking, and pipe up positively right after Upset of brisso’s terribly depressing spiel.
