Wow, this is confusing. When it was announced Californication star David Duchovny and his wife of A Rather Long Time, actress Tea Leoni, were splitting up, I assumed it would have something to do with David-related misbehaviour, considering he’d recently entered rehab for sex addiction.

But no, says the Daily Mail. It’s actually because Tea and Billy Bob Thornton have been participating in a few Warney-esque text exchanges!

Through text messages on his wife’s mobile phone Duchovny discovered she had begun a relationship with Oscar-winning actor Billy Bob Thornton, 53, who was formerly married to Angelina Jolie.

Five-times married Billy Bob met Téa when they made a comedy film together earlier this year called Manure.

Well, when two people have been thrown together on the set of a movie with a fiery and titillating title like ‘Manure’, I suppose it’s unsurprising to learn that sparks – along with a few saucy text messages – flew between Tea and Billy Bob.

I expect this will be denied by reps quite shortly, if they can be bothered.
