Anthony LaPaglia Hurt On Set? Say It Ain’t So!
Silver-ish fox Anthony LaPaglia has been injured!
HOLLYWOOD star Anthony LaPaglia was injured in an explosives accident in Darwin during the shooting of the film Balibo.
AND THIS HAPPENED ON AUSTRALIAN SOIL? To one of our living treasures? I am shocked and appalled. Where are those work place safety inspectors when you need them?
The $1 million-an-episode star of Without a Trace and Lantana was hurt when an explosive device designed to simulate a gunshot discharged into his arm, a source on the film shoot said.
I know what you’re thinking. Which hospital can you immediately send flowers and a get well card to, right? Erm, I’d slip that credit card away for now.
The accident happened in July during filming of the scene where LaPaglia’s character, Roger East, is shot and killed.
I realise things are a little laid back in Darwin, but really – shouldn’t this have been a hot news story back in goddamn July when it actually happened?
Producer John Maynard said the incident was a “tiny thing”.
“It was only a scratch,” he said.
A scratch too far, Maynard. In the future I never, ever want to hear that a hair on Anthony LaPaglia’s handsome soccer loving head has been hurt, or I will hunt you down and make you watch Empire Records with me until you can’t get the sound of Renee Zellweger’s squealy performance of ‘Sugar High’ out of your ears and you cry blood.

Jess, I totally agree with you. Thank god the poor guy wasn’t hurt worse! You could lose an eye with one of those things, seriously! I’m sure the explosives guy felt terrible about it afterwards, but I think he should also have his license-to-blow-things-up taken away or something. I hope the damage didn’t ruin any of those awesome tattoos Anthony has on his gorgeous arms…
