Joy Behar Dismayed To Discover That Paris Hilton Is Still Allowed to Vote
Posted by Kyle Buchanan at 7:20 AM on September 26, 2008
Though John McCain suspended his presidential campaign yesterday, third party candidate Paris Hilton is still busy courting voters. The heiress dropped in on The View today to replay her famous video rebuking McCain, and the clip prompted an inquisitive Joy Behar to ask, "You're not really going to be able to vote, are you?" After citing a friend who lost his right to vote after spending time in the "slammer," Behar was informed that Hilton did, indeed, still retain the ability. We're sad, too, Joy — the idea that Paris Hilton has any sort of political influence is almost as tragic to us as Whoopi Goldberg's hideous Ed Hardy t-shirt. [The View]

I have no particular opinion about Paris Hilton, she is just an annoyingly over-hyped but seemingly guileless individual. But Joy Behar strikes me as a bitter old bag, under any circumstance. And what's more I don't even know who the heck she is. Was she a tv actress in the olden days or what? She's no doubt jealous of Paris Hilton's apparent appeal and possibly her representing a
younger generation which is no doubt foreign and disturbing to the sensibilities of olden times. Or maybe she wishes she could date rock stars and be even vaguely recognizable to the general public. Who can fully analyze mid-life neurosis. But its a shame it must culminate in anti-social aggression. Therapy time Joy.

I'd consider giving up my right to vote (after this election) if it meant this twat and her useless friends never attracted attention outside of LA ever, ever again.
Yes, I know I'm feeding the fire by replying to this post.

@tmp00: I feel the same way about Joy. If "dismayed" means "nauseated".
And who the hell named that banshee "Joy", anyway?

Yes she is allowed to vote. She is however, banned from panties and hair extensions. So we'll be able to toss her back into the slammer on at least one of those counts whenever possible.

What a coincidence, I'm feeling a little dismay that bitter old man-hating hags are still allowed to vote.
whats with the frozen "something stinks face" Joy?
The parents of this piece of work really missed the mark when it came to choosing names. It must have been opposite day.

OK, so this is kinda why I hate this new hidden comments thingy. I've tried to be a good star-carrying commenter, but no more. See, I make a "who the hell named that banshee "Joy"" comment to TMP...yet...NO ONE SEES IT. Now, Turdknuckle makes one. I don't have problem with Turdknuckle. Far from it. Like minds and all that shit. I will have a HUGE problem with subsequent commenters who will say "Oooohhhh...Turdknuckle...THAT WAS BRILLIANT..." Sure, I'm reaching (not really, but hey I can at least pretend to be humble) but whatever. Therefore, I respectfully decline to use the little swooshy arrow anymore..or at least until people what realize EXPAND MORE means. Thank you and good day.

Can we all agreed that The View does not in fact represent anything remotely resembling a balanced, thoughtful approach to issues that people without penises might find interesting?
Then again - the GOP have been parading Sarah Palin as a woman, so I guess that explains that...

@Little Mintz Sunshine:
I'm with you, I could have spared the board some redundancy if I had noticed the hidden comments section.
