Girls Aloud’s Cheryl Cole Reveals The Secret To A Happy Marriage

Earlier this year, Girls Aloud warbler (and current judge on the British version of The X Factor) Cheryl Cole was alerted – thanks to national tabloid coverage – to the fact her husband, footballer Ashley Cole, had cheated on her. She was expected to ditch the handsome sports star, but decided instead to stay and work things out.

And what has she learned from the whole experience? Don’t tie your man down, ladies.

Girls Aloud star Cheryl Cole is determined to let her husband Ashley Cole remain a ‘free spirit’ despite recent reports claiming the Chelsea player had been unfaithful.

In an extract from Girls Aloud’s upcoming autobiography Dream That Glitter, serialised in OK! magazine, she says: ‘People make mistakes, stuff happens. I believe everyone should be a free spirit.

‘Even in my marriage, Ashley’s a free spirit. I’m not his keeper. I believe in letting people live their lives and be free, so Ashley can have time with his friends when he wants, he can go out when he wants.

“Special” friends, Cheryl?

‘I’m not the type of person to ring him and be like: “Where are you, who are you with, what’s happening, what time will you be in, why haven’t you answered your phone? I’ve been that person in the past and I don’t like it. I won’t let anything change me and make me revert to being that type of girl, because it’s not me.’

Hmmmm. So you used to worry about where he was, and then it turned out he was doing the dirty on you, so the solution is to not ask him where he is therefore avoiding ever discovering he’s got a bit on the side? Actually, I suppose there’s some sort of logic in that. Ignorance is bliss, etc.

A reader of the Daily Mail named Max doesn’t think Cheryl’s using her head, however. He says “The woman is an idiot. So in order to save her “marriage” with a cheating husband, she is going to let him be a “free spirit”. And how will she feel when he brings home an STD?”

As long as she doesn’t know she has an STD, no harm done! Never go to a doctor, Cheryl – and STAY HAPPY! NO MATTER WHAT!

You know, suddenly this:
