Defiant Josh Groban to Emmy Critics: ‘Really? Really?!’

Does Josh Groban read Defamer? We may never find out for sure, but we have determined that we share startlingly similar perspectives on his grossly underappreciated performance at last weekend’s Emmy Awards. You know our take, but we now yield the floor to Groban himself, who took to his vlog earlier today with refreshing candor about surmounting the monumental challenge of Emmycast suckdom around him. Again, it’s not our place to say we were right, but we can say we’re unreservedly Team Groban. More like this, please, Emmys. [Vimeo]

Love it when some media “get it”…..gotta have fun and laughter in this world. Groban did a great job making me laugh!

Josh Groban is all the following: goofy, dorky, adorable, witty, clever, brilliant, funny, amazing, wonderful, multi-talented, gifted, diverse, gorgeous, loved and adored. He’s so much more than words can say, his voice just sooths and melts your heart, he’s kind, gracious, polite, thoughtful, generous, sensible, respectful and fun to be around. He has the ‘boy-next-door’ image which mums approve of and girls dream about. He is the whole package – wow, how many others could live up to all that??

    Yea, what Jerusha said!

I think Josh brought a breath of fresh air to the show. Many of these kind of shows can be very “cheesy” but Josh simply “slipped into the characters”, he still sang beautifully on more serious themes, but how else could you present Southpark?!

You did a wonderful job Josh. We love every side to your character and we know you take your work seriously, even when serious means being goofy!

Don’t ever change, you are a tough act to follow.

    Love

Good for you Defamer. I loved Josh’s Emmy performance – I about died laughing. He’s so adorable. I also loved his blog. How can anyone possibly dislike this guy?

Again, this was the ONLY worthy part of the night. Josh rocked!

I was bitterly disappointed that the network in Australia cut Josh’s segment. I was able to download it from the internet and I thought it was hilarious. The Emmy’s themselves were so boring and the hosts so bad – I’m astounded that the best bit in the show was cut. Just ignore the critics Josh you were very funny and the characterizations fabulous. You’re right – they need to lighten up.

Josh was the best part of the emmy’s. They could have skipped the rest. I watched for his performance which was the greatest. Funny and entertaining. No one else could change character so often in one performance and be so spot on for such a various arrangement. We love you Josh.
