Woo! Clem and yours truly are now both resting up after a rather full on last week in which we - and all the other volunteers on Melbourne community radio station RRR - attempted to inspire listeners to subscribe to the station for another year in a festival of begging known as Radiothon.

Everything went rather well, and I thought I might pop some mp3s for your listening pleasure (or pain, depending on perspective) over the next week. You know, if you're into it.

My show I'd Rather Jack's Radiothon Spacktacular ended up turning into a massive party. Joined on the night by Clemmy, as well as a host of musicians including The Ukeladies, The Brutals, Lilith Lane, Abby Dobson & Matt Gurry, Damian FitzGerald aka Underwaterman, Talei Wolfgramm, and the handsome Dan Kelly - and a bunch of boozing buddies who came in to watch the action live on air - I could not be happier with how the evening turned out.

Defamer Australia tipster Daniel sent us in this highly enjoyable story regarding Neighbours star Carla Bonner, who plays Steph Scully-Hoyland-Whatevs on the Channel Ten soap, donning her cranky pants on a recent Jetstar flight. He claims he saw the whole thing unfold right before his eyes, so it must be true! Daniel, you wouldn't lie to us, would you?

It's that time of the year, AFL Finals time, where footy players who've not made the finals - and even some who have! - start to let their hair down after a year of hard work, training and toeing the line. Just ask Brendan Fevola from Carlton, who has evidently been spending the past nine months or so yearning for for the end of the season, when he can put on his best pink nightie and a cute little hat, and wave a giant dildo from his pants like anyone's business. Simple dreams, really, but that's just what Fev did last night on a 'Mad Monday' bender with his friends and teammates. Carn the Blues!

Well, it's possible that I should adjust that headline to "I" rather than "we", as I don't know how Defamer Australia's other half feels about Andrew O'Keefe, but I'm keeping up my "the next Bert Newton" campaign and as such, am very excited by news that Seven will be training the spotlight on O'Keefe, who is to host a variety show on their HD arm (despite The Rich List tanking earlier in the year). Oh-so-wittily-titled This Is Your Laugh, the show will premiere early next year, and O'Keefe is psyching himself up.

It's probably safe to say that using the phrase "troubling news" in the same breath as the name "Amy Winehouse", these days, is tantamount to a tautology, but if you'll forgive me, today there is some genuinely troubling news in the Winegums camp: "friends" (who no doubt took some time out from hanging with "former colleagues" and chatting to "a source" to bring us the news) are concerned that Amy may have sustained brain damage after a series of drug overdoses. And since it seems that these days Amy has, ahem, medical emergencies as often as she pops down to the chippy for dinner, there's a good chance these "friends" may be onto something.

The singer, 24, suffered two major overdoses, with such bad convulsions that they were "like a scene from The Exorcist".

...But if Channel Seven were hoping that installing MacPherson in the recently departed Daryl Somers' vacated role and moving the show to Sunday night (to compete with Idol's biggest night of the week, natch), it looks as though their logic may have been a little fuzzy. After blitzing viewers with portentous After The Olympics™ promos throughout the Beijing Games, Seven probably thought everyone would tune, en masse, to Dancing come Sunday night like a bunch of bogo-pogo-obsessed Stepford residents.
