After making an unsettling detour to Closeted-Heartthrob Rapesville, the Blind Item Express is once more on the move, this time heading for sunnier, more sapphic waters. How else to explain this provocative post from Crazy Days and Nights:
How do you try and revive a career that only you want revived? Well, in Hollywood this year you can either get pregnant, or do what this C list film/B list television actress that I love to hate is going to do. Become a lesbian. Yes, you heard it here first. This actress is going to loudly dump her boyfriend and start dating a woman simply for the publicity...Instead of paying someone to be a beard for you, this actress is going to take some of her fast dwindling cash and pay someone to be her lesbian lover.
Rampant speculation, after the jump:
Out first guess was Mischa Barton, though it must be said that the same-sex angle didn't work out so well for her character on The O.C. Then our thoughts drifted to Heroes star Hayden Panettiere, but her girl-crush on Angelina Jolie is a little predictable for a starlet who's truly hoping to make sapphic waves. Could it be, then, that Gossip Girl's Blake Lively has been sharing her travelling pants with someone the same size? It's possible, but we'll throw our weight behind dark horse guess Kendra Wilkinson of The Girls Next Door. What better way to avoid typecasting as a boy-crazy bimbo than to ditch the Hef for someone more substantial...you know, like Tila Tequila!

First it was the dirty evil bisexual, now the ladies are paying off other ladies to boost their career? C'mon ladies - its not our fault you can't get on the A list, well it kinna is, but....anyway....this is gunna stir up a lot crap - its gunna give the lesbians more flame to shoot off, which I can understand. Y'know like how the lesbians on the L Word weren't giving homage to what an actual lesbian is suppose to look like? Its the same nonsense - just this time...us lesbians and bisexuals are gunna complain about the actress is playing some chick so she can get more fame, its a joke - really it is.....All I gotta say is. 1. Screw what the actress is doing to further her career its her life - let her bang a chick if she wants to. 2. "Fast dwindling cash"? Wouldn't that rule out the Gossip or Heroes girls? I'm no expert on the white people shows, but I thought those two were popular. Also, in general, isn't fake lesbianism the realm of short girls? Most of those chicks look like the real deal.

Blake definitely doesn't need more press right now and either does Hayden, especially with Heroes coming back soon....can't tell who that 4th girl is in the banner picture?
So, I'm going with Mischa. She's pretty much the only one here that needs to revive her career....and she's played gay twice before so it's not new territory for her (kissing girls, that is...)

I would say Jessica "Jesus Jugs" Simpson, but she's more likely to be caught kissin' her daddy. That said, my money's on Tara Reid, although at this point "C List" is rather generous.

When did becoming a lesbian become chic? As a man, I find this both alluring and frustrating.
Alluring because lesbians are awesome. Frustrating because with every new lesbian, it just becomes that much harder to find a great girl.
I hope this doesn't become some kind of strange sexual fad. I have nothing against homosexuality, but when you've got people seemingly pretending to be gay? There's something fishy about that.

@mmstk101: Doesn't she have her new country album coming out soon (or has it already)? A stunt like that sort of reeks of Papa Jo's manipulative ways. It would stir up publicity for her album and provide some sort of sick sexual pleasure for daddy Simpson.
