The Most Exciting Facebook Ad Ever

Callgirl.pngWell, perhaps that headline is a touch hyperbolic, but when I got online this morning to check my pokes work really hard, I was greeted by the banner ad you see at the left. (Suffice to say it was a pleasant change from the usual "26 And Still Single?" varieties.) Anything combining the words "Alan Fletcher" and "musical" is bound to snare my attention - because we all love it when Dr Karl brings that old guitar out of the shed and Susan rolls her eyes - so I clicked through. Cop a load of these highlights from the cast!

Call Girl, a new Australian musical set in a call centre follows Jean Brown, compulsive helper on her first day at We Care Marketing, a customer contact centre run by Samantha, a ruthless man eater. Despite Jean's own ineptness and direct sabotage from Courtney, an ambitious airhead, Jean hooks a whopper donation, diverts the call centre relocation and finds true love with Frank, a super salesman with a heart of gold.

Starring Alan Fletcher and [...] the voices of Bert Newton & Steve Vizard

While it would've been slightly more amazing if it said "Starring the voice talents of", like one of those dodgy Don Bluth cartoons made to compete with the Disney juggernaut, this looks like it could be a campy good time. I saw Dr Karl in a production of My Fair Lady a few years ago and he was quite good!
