Wouldn't it be cool if someone realized they had the psychic ability to hear other people's birthday wishes as they blew out the candles on their cake and then this one time, they hear someone's birthday wish about wanting to murder somebody and then the psychic wish-listener had to stop that murder before it took place and then it turned out the person was trying to murder them? You do think its cool?! Well send me a check, M. Night and promise me you won't find someway to ruin the ending to my plot, s'alright?

@Wrapitup: That's just the way of the world. Many names common to Americans sound ridiculous to the ears of foreign language speakers, and vice versa. (In Chinese, my last name apparently sounds like their term for "rotten pet food.") I don't think there is any malice behind it.

@Losin_it: I agree that that is the way of the world. I disagree about there not being malice behind it. There is a very thin line between malice and societally sanctioned ribbing about personal traits based on race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender etc. And many people hide behind the fact that teasing about such things is still societally sanctioned in order to spew their malice and then escape accountability.
And yes, any Chinese people who tease you about your last name are being total dicks.
