As for the ad however, I also doubt the veracity of the recording. "Tis slightly exciting though, must admit..but ANYthing would beat last season...**uuuuurrrrgh***

Also- lady at 0:30 is our odds on favoutite, just because of the moves she's bustin'.

Lady at 0:49- prepare for some "big voice, full bodied, red-hot mama" type of comments from the judges.

i would bet $10 that most of the voices you are hearing are backup session singers rather than the idols themselves. There doesnt sound like a lot of vocal processing going on, so its probably session singers.

Are we expected to believe that its really them? Not a single past idol WINNER can sing like that unaided, on pitch and live. Let alone these hopefuls before the 3 months of intensive lessons they get to improve their mediocrity.

In my house, the Ranga is simply referred to as such or "Bloodnut". Him and 0:27 make me laugh so hard and I hate the version of the ad that cuts them out!

The kid at 0:34 is the one we've pegged for this year's Ben McKenzie. The girl next to him has been named "Contestant Most Likely To Bore Me To Tears"

I have also deduced, from less than a minute of footage, that girl at 0:42 is going to give me the shits. I predict she'll be the "rock" idol, coming on every week to slaughter Led Zeppelin.
