Paris and Britney Confused By McCain's Suggestion That They Are Still Famous
Posted by Defamer Hollywood at 5:30 AM on August 1, 2008
A clearly flailing John McCain has just released his new Obama attack ad and boy, is it a doozy! Employing a risky "Obama is awesome...but is he too awesome?" strategy that seems designed to fail, McCain calls Obama "the biggest celebrity in the world" (because if there's one thing America hates, it's celebrities) and plays footage of Obama's massive rallies and beatific smile that could have come from an Obama b-roll itself. The only signs that something is amiss are the split-second shots of Britney and Paris spliced into the ad — inclusions that have baffled the reps for both washed-up celebutantes. Says the Huffington Post:
A representative from the 42West public relations firm declined to make a substantive comment to the Huffington Post, saying only, "why would we want to get Britney Spears involved in presidential politics?"
Why, indeed? Meanwhile, Hilton's parents can't be much happier with the ad attacking their daughter — after all, they donated the maximum $4600 to McCain's campaign. Unavailable for a comment, TMZ instead turned to the next best thing:
Former Paris Hilton impersonator Natalie Reid is weighing in on the new McCain commercial scandal. She tells TMZ, "McCain is obviously jealous cuz Obama's hot."
Meanwhile, a spurned Scarlett Johansson types furiously into her MacBook Air, sending the McCain camp an email ("John, I'm available!") that they, unfortunately, will never read.

McCain wanted to use pictures of stars he was familiar with, but the estates of Mary Pickford and Buster Keaton refused to help.

@bitfactory: I have seen the polls and I'm not worried. [www.fivethirtyeight.com]
@Victor Ward: I'm worried about the mental stability of someone supporting a candidate who is no longer running.

Team Hillary.
And I'm still worried about the mental stability of anyone who finds Obama attractive.

"clearly flailing'?
Seen the poles lately? I'm wondering why Obama isn't up by 50 at this point (instead McCain is actually closing the gap in some battleground states).
If the Dems lose this Nov it's time to blow up the party once and for all.
On topic - there's only one thing that leaves more of a bad taste in my mouth than Obama's horseshit ads, and that's McCain's horseshit ads.

Great ad campaign: McCain, the candidate no one wants to photograph.

Read an interesting story how the McCain camp buys cheap tv ad time, just one or two airings at 3 am, makes a provocative, negative ad and then hopes the major networks pick it up and air it endlessly. Which they do.

Before this ad, I preferred Obama over McCain for the next president.
Now that I've seen the ad, I want Obama, Paris Hilton or Britney Spears over McCain for the next president.

@adultsupervision: maybe bitfactory means the poles at the local strip club?? meanwhile, Obama is not "hot" in my book - Lenny Kravitz is HOT - but he is a good looking man, no matter what Victor Ward thinks. I wanted Hillary, but with the choices we have . . . Obama is less scary to me than McCain.

I believe that Obama would have to be found in bed with a dead hooker or a live boy to blow this one.

So McLoser thinks we like P Hilton? So completely clueless.
He's the repug's most expendable candidate - they "chose" him knowing '08 is the year they will likely lose big time.
The goal with McLoser's attack ads is to close the gap in the polls, making it easier for the repugs to possibly steal the White House again when both candidates are close in the "poles."

Mccain listen up, just be yourself, show where you've been and what you have done in your ads. That should be all you need to win this. Everyone I know is on your side and they are family members who have all been in the military. Good luck!

mccain will win I have faith in the american people. Obama will turn out to be another Kwame Kilpatrick (detroit mayor). Liston up folks. Black are voting for Obama because he is "black" although his name proves different. Lets vote based on who is more fit. Mccain was in the war for gods sake. We need someone who's in it for our country not someone who wants to be "the first black president on the dollar" as Obama states.

@rachcornell:
I love that you think McCain reads the Defamer comments for campaign advice. Considering that he barely knows who Paris Hilton and Britney Spears are, I think that's unlikely.
Since McCain just learned to "do the Google" but prefers that people call him on the phone rather than confuse him with email, may I suggest you direct your good wishes to his campaign instead?

I think what they find attractive is his turban. Is a turban like a Kofia hat? Or are our black american's confused by his skin color? If he is African American his name and turban tell a different story. LOL

"Mcloser" knows people dont like Paris Hilton that is why he used her to bash Obama, suggesting that Obama is no better then a celeberity. So I think he is far from "Clueless". I think you get that title, congrats
