The pictures will be taken anyway, but they get to control both how the pictures are taken, and get the money, rather than whatever paparazzo is lucky/opportunistic enough to get there first. </p> <p>Considering there's absolutely no way to avoid it, apparently, I don't see why the parents shouldn't take control of when and where their child first gets 'released to the public', as it were. </p> See, this is why I have no problem with celebrities getting top dollar for the photo rights to their kid/s.
