Lindsay Lohan: 'I Can Date Who I Want To Date. I Can Do What I Want To Do'

This is quite old - actually, in internet terms, it's positively ancient as it's from late May - but last night I was taking a stroll down (Google paved) memory lane and re-reading all the leaked emails from when Lindsay Lohan's secret MySpazz account was hacked back in 2007, and I came across something rather interesting.
On May 12th of 2008, Perez Hilton wrote a blog post stating that Lindsay's career was down the toilet, she was being dropped from projects, and she'd just been spotted bawling her eyes out after a massive fight with her girlfriend Samantha Ronson (who, by the way, I think is a rather cute little tomboy type - and Perez's constant need to refer to her as SaMAN is getting increasingly annoying).
"Blogger/famewhore Jonathan Jackson", as the fabulous EvilBeet describes him, contacted Lindsay Lohan on her personal MySpazz account to ask her about what Perez had written, and her reply is actually ten kinds of awesome and I can't believe I've only just stumbled upon it. What's wrong with me? Am I drinking too much during the day?
She says -

I have things in works with a lot of different people. If I decide to pull out of projects or re-nogotiate, it turns into "She was dropped." Thats the studios way of covering their ass, only trying to make me look bad.
But its okay...I atleast have legitamate projects and not some stupid show that comes on VH1 once a year. If Mario wants to talk about things he knows nothing about then go ahead. I can't stop him, and I certainly can't change him. Sam is great... shes more than great, and it kills him to see anyone hes ever known happy.

Brilliant. Just... brilliant. I really hope that was a response from the real Lindsay, because it was ace and makes me love her more than when I'd just seen Mean Girls at the movies.

She is no more a "slut" than all those male actors/rock stars who has been with lots of people. Why is there one standard for men and and one for women ? Why is female promiscuity so scary that people have to resort to slander, while male promiscuity is cool, something to be commended? Let people live..at least she is real not some prepackaged hollywood product airbrushed for our consumption, so she smokes, she has sex, she has a past, big fxxxing deal!
