Just So Everyone Is Completely Clear On This Issue, Tania Zaetta Is Not A Gangbangin’ Slut

In between takes on the Geelong set of her new movie The Ninja, perhaps whilst sipping her all important stress-relieving Lemon Detox concoction, Tania Zaetta obviously had a long hard think about the infamous story back in May that was published by the Daily Telegraph which stated the Defence Department were in the midst of sussing out claims she’d been servicing the lonely troops in a way Mount Isa’s mayor can only dream of, and decided apologies were not enough – lawyers needed to be involved.

The TV host and actress Tania Zaetta is suing the publisher of The Daily Telegraph over an article that allegedly inferred she was a “slut” when it claimed the Defence Department was investigating a report she had sex with troops in Afghanistan on a concert tour.

She is suing Nationwide News for defamation, claiming she is entitled to aggravated damages and costs, particularly because the article gives rise to imputations that are not true. The article had injured Zaetta’s credit, reputation and occupation and brought her into “public scandal, odium and contempt”, a statement of claim before the Supreme Court says. Last week in the Supreme Court Nationwide News elected to have the case heard by a jury. It was adjourned to October.

Roll on October then, I say. I am hoping and praying Tania comes out on top with this case, if only for the “Who Sues Wins” post title possibilities.
