Brian McFadden Doesn’t Like Gays – He Loves Them!

brianmcfadden.jpgIt seems you can blink these days and miss the juiciest scandals: evidently Brian “Potato” McFadden, soon-to-be honorary Australian and Mr Delta Goodrem, was running off his mouth on New Zealand radio and was shocked to find that saying “If you are not gay, a man should not be wearing pink. Saying pink is a form of red is the same as saying homosexual is a form of male” could be construed as potentially homophobic. No word on whether this is a case of unfair editing and that the end of that statement actually went “…because homosexual is clearly a flavour of delicious ice-cream, now serve me up som’a dat! Mmm hmm chile”, but Potato is now on the defensive:

“To come to the conclusion that I am homophobic from these sentences is far from the truth,” the statement read.

“Some of my friends and colleagues are gay and if I was truly homophobic then I have picked the wrong industry.”

Oh good work, Brian – as the news.com.au team also noted, pulling out the “some of my best friends are gay” line! Honestly, it’s clear what the Potato needs to do in this situation: he needs to release a cover of It’s Raining Men, surround himself with dancers wearing pink footy shorts, and then reveal that Delta Goodrem is, in fact, a man.

He’s not homophobic? Then what were those comments, a ham sandwich? Ugh. Enjoy your sandwich, Delta, it will soon smell several days too old once you get going in the US.

What potato head needs is to tap his red heels together and get the hell out of OZ.

Man, the page couldn’t refresh, so I sent the link to this before seeing it had already been covered.

Admittedly, he’s also making fun of some dickheads, but ’straight men don’t wear pink’ and ‘pansies’? I know the whole Irish Catholic thing is responsible for ‘gays used to be burnt at the stake’, but he’s been caught out good and proper for being a complete twunt.
