Accused Rapist Pitches Jail Ordeal as Stephen King-Meets-M. Night Shyamalan

Perhaps to our discredit, we had long ago relegated disgraced fashion designer/tacky Web-site proprietor Anand Jon Alexander to the quiet corners of our minds where accused serial rapists like him (59 counts, at last check) await trial. Sharon Waxman, meanwhile — who extensively interviewed AJ and pored over eight volumes of grand jury transcripts for an article in the new issue of Los Angeles — acknowledges that the testimony of the aspiring models he allegedly assaulted is both "damning" and "extremely weak in places," implying that Alexander's case may not be as open-and-closed as we'd suspected once it goes to trial in September. "Anand Jon does not appear to be a nice guy," she writes. "But that is not a crime in any state."
At least he was nice enough to chime in with a disturbing note from jail, excerpted after the jump.
Yoga, meditation, and the love of my family and God have sustained me as I grapple with blankets that have blood stains dried in tie-dyed patterns and battle nocturnal visits from entities that include, but are not limited to, rodents and insects (that I have not even seen in the jungles of India!). How much of it is my imagination? I'm not really sure. But the whole thing feels like a Stephen King novel turned into a movie directed by M. Night Shyamalan.
A fair trial is a wonderful concept but more of a satire in my case, based on how this has been manipulated and has been anything but fair. No one besides the parties involved (traditionally "two") knows IF intimacy/sex even happened or much less if it was consensual or not. Wouldn't one call 911? Get a rape kit or at least STD testing? Would anyone continue to follow, travel, live with someone who allegedly assaulted them?
Oh, give it up, AJ — Manoj would never direct a Stephen King prison adaptation. That's Frank Darabont territory all the way.

At least defamer has the balls to (sort of) admit when they may be wrong. how many of the other sites / media outlet will do the same? too many yet to be answered questions here. this trial and the events leading up to it will be reviewed in law schools for many years. the prosecution pushed the media at the outset. now it's time for the other side to get justice and their day in court.
just a thought... if the accusers are found to be lying, they should spend as much time in jail.

its really sad that he has been punished without a trial-sitting in jail for more than a year on allegations that have no material evidence thats crazy
why did they move in as room mates?
why did they follow him from state to state to allege him later?
whole case stinks- let the man at least be given a fair chance to defend himself

The sad reality of life is - even if he is acquitted his career is probably ruined....
With massive publicity and 59 counts - there may always be a cloud hanging over his head even if he is in fact not guilty....
Sometimes you can never be too careful in life about who you interact with

I'm sure his many victims share your sentiments.

Let's not forget (and I'm not saying he's innocent) that in this country, you are innocent until proven guilty. To imply otherwise is wrong. What's next, accusing Lindsay Lohan of being a lesbian?

The whole innocent until proven guilty is pretty much a farce. People accused of crimes that turn out to be innocent often have their lives completley ruinned - usually by the court of "public opinion" and often by editors of right wing news media.

Heh. I don't know. I'm still slightly creeped out that this guy spent 6 months trying to get me to go visit him when I was 16&17. Only slightly though. I'm still more scared of Stephen King than I am of a fashion designer.
