When Party Girls Attack

Roxy Jacenko.jpg Anyone who has read Cleo or Cosmopolitan over the last five years or so will no doubt be familiar with the face of "PR chick" Roxy Jacenko, who is always happy to tell us all about her PR firm, the appealingly titled Sweaty Betty, and her exciting and fast-paced glamorous life. (She can also often be spotted in her natural habitat, generally at the opening of an envelope, sometimes with BFF and "dating expert" Samantha Brett.)

Well, imagine my delight when I loaded the Tele this morning to find that Roxy and her lil' sister Ruby are currently in court over a sisters' bitchfight at a club that allegedly led to Ruby socking Sweaty Sis square in the face!

Naturally the story has some delightful details:

"It's been soul destroying for us all. I don't want my 18-year-old sister to end up with criminal charges, but what she did to me, her sister, was completely and utterly out of line and unacceptable,'' Roxy said, after the hearing yesterday.

Telling Harper's Bazaar online about her favourite things in 2006, Roxy said her most prized possession was "my family'' - but its understood the sisters had not seen each other for about six months prior to the altercation.
Ruby, studying for her HSC at Reddam House school, Bondi, has previously claimed she was unaware her sister was at The Piano Room when she arrived uninvited and things turned heated. "When she grabbed me on the wrist to tell me that I shouldn't be there, I just saw red and punched her,'' Ruby reportedly had said.

She was rather more demure yesterday, rising to give the magistrate a little wave when her lawyer Jason Barakat indicated she was in court.

Oh, a little wave! That will be just darling with these new season Chloe heels and a blinged-up Blackberry Pearl, won't it?

Honestly, if I had a sister who was constantly going on and on about her latest glam purchases and turning up in every second copy of my monthly Cleo fix, I'd probably want to sock her, too. Wonder if Ruby smashed any of Roxy's "Chanel aviators, Oliver Peoples or Gucci" sunglasses in the process?

The case has been adjourned until June.

I like this story on many levels.

But mostly I like because of "Sweaty Betty"- an appalling song by Northern England's "Macc Lads"

Roxy seems like a bitch.

She should spend less on her obviously fake tits and donate more for charity, perhaps that will detract from her bad image in the pr scene.

The whole thing is so very lower class...

This is not society girls fighting, this is trash, acting like trash.

Perhaps a better family environment and some Therapy to make up for some lost love and lost time will help, but I don't see why we need to care when young and bitchy punches older and fake chested???

Isn’t it sad how jealousy can make people react?
Tall poppy syndrome at its best-
If you don’t care about it why are you reading the stories and posting your comments on a blog? Why don’t you try valid criticism rather than mean comments that are completely irrelevant?
Oh I know- because there is no valid criticism to be made in this situation.
