Alec Baldwin Fights Off '60 Minutes' Offensive With Thoughtful Age Gags

For all the career renaissance we've seen from Alec Baldwin over the last three or four years, not even his Golden Globe for 30 Rock overshadows his legendary turn as "Sociopathic Father" in last year's wildly popular Web-exclusive release Thoughtless Little Pig. Even Morley Safer couldn't stop talking about it last night on 60 Minutes; in the accompanying video, watch the "appalling" Baldwin float like a butterfly and sting like a bee under Safer's withering sallies, punch back with word of his forthcoming book on "divorce and parental alienation" and finally score the knockout with his disarming rejoinder about a potential political career: "There's other things I want to do. I mean, in a matter of weeks I'm going to be 50... By 60 Minutes correspondent terms, I am a young man!" Oh, Alec, you bastard. We just can't stay mad at you. [60 Minutes]

What Alec Baldwin said was completely right. How DARE these sanctimonious hypocrites lambaste him for what is, quite frankly, a very minor thing.

I must say I agree with Alec. Parental Alienation can drive you insame with anger and rage. Your child is taken from you because of someone elses anger. I'm glad hes exposing the system. Its time to forgive and forget. If joe down the street said it would never have been brought up. In fact alienation happens all the time and people get away with. I would know I was the child who was alienated!!!!

Yeah Alec! He totally right, by the way. Twelve year old kids can be a royal, royal, pain in the ass, and after a year of hearing that message I don't even think it was that bad anymore. And I fully call shenanigans on Safer's claim that he finds the words difficult to utter. Bitch, please!
Finally, I would TOTALLY watch "Law & Order" if he was a judge. That would rule.

Whenever journalists act like saints who've never made mistakes when talking to actors with issues. Last time I checked, there's a lot of journalists out there who should check themselves.

When the media blew that out of proportion I just laughed and said, "They think that's bad? Holy shit, they don't know what my friends, my parents and everybody else I know endured over the years."
