John And Jenny Deaves: Madly In Love, And Traumatising The Hell Out Of Us

deaves.jpgYou know, we consider ourselves a fairly easy-going bunch here at Defamer Australia, but even we’re finding it slightly difficult to continue reading about the romance between John and Jenny Deaves. If you have no idea what we’re talking about (where have you been living, sirrah/madam? A cave in the middle of nowhere?), we’ll briefly explain the situation.

On Sunday night, John and Jenny Deaves appeared on Sixty Minutes and proudly announced to the world that they’re just another loving couple with a beautiful baby daughter – and oh, by the way, they are also father and daughter. You can read a transcript of the interview (and watch them smooching) over on the 60 Minutes site.

In the interview, Jenny reveals her attraction upon meeting her pa. “I was looking at him, sort of going, oh, he’s not too bad,” she said. “Like you might look at a man across the bar at a nightclub.”

To which we are forced to ask – what kind of bloody nightclubs are you going to, woman, where a man who looks like that is considered a right spunk?

Anyway. The pair are claiming they’re an example of GSA (Genetic Sexual Attraction), which kicked into gear after they were finally reunited following a 30 year separation. But John’s second wife has come forward to state that the two of them most certainly spent time together before their sexual relationship began in 2000, with a 15 year old Jenny attending their wedding and staying with them for a week back in 1984.

We located their joint profile on a Genetic Sexual Attraction support forum, and in almost every post they’ve made, there’s a reference to Celeste’s “healthy” status (“I am in a relationship with my biological father who I also was seperated (sic) from not long after birth. We have been in this wonderful relationship for 8 years now and we have a beautiful healthy daughter who is 9 months old.). Unfortunately, the first child they had together was not so lucky.

The child was conceived in Rockhampton, Queensland, but died a few days after birth because of a congenital heart disease, according to court records.

Look, we don’t want to judge.

FOR GOD’S SAKE, IT’S YOUR DAD/DAUGHTER!

The world is a confusing and fucked up place, the heart is a frustratingly uncontrollable thing, etc.

DAD! DAUGHTER! NO NO NO NO NO DO NOT WANT, FAIL! FAIL!

But the more we hear about this couple’s story, the worse it seems to get.

And with Jenny giving out advice like this -

If you feel that your daughter is flirting with you then there is a good chance that she also feels for you. Go with your gut feeling and do what you feel is right. As a mature adult I would hope that if she did not feel the same the two of you would at least be able to work it through and become great friends. You need to be at peace with yourself no matter what decision you make. We all need to keep in mind that it is illegal in most places and until we can make changes we do run the risk of charges being placed on us. Good luck with whatever decision you make.

- in forum topics titled “In Love with Daughter”, well… needless to say we’re a bit disturbed. And by disturbed, we obviously mean inspired to pen a flirty email to our single father.

god.jpg“YOU ARE GOING TO HELL.”

We know.

  • Witty double entendre

GSA also known as Luke and Leia syndrome.

We must take into account the fact that a person does not become a father just because he has biologically fathered a child – he has to have regular contact with the child and give her fatherly love care and attention. Since this person was sent to jail while his daughter was almost a baby, it is quite obvious that when she met him for the first time, she could not look upon him as a father – just imagine the extreme case when a woman is raped by a man and the baby who is born as a result meets her so-called biological father after several years – what do you think should happen?

I’m glad you find this icky as well. I felt sick when I read it on the Age the other day and am glad I’m not alone. Incest destroyed my family and I think it’s irresponsible of the major news corps to act as if it’s ok. Good on you Defamer for saying no.

    Yep, it’s no ordinary love!

If you think that’s wrong, have a read of this article in response to this story breaking (funny but yes, oh so wrong):

They are sick. They have flaunted this and the fact that they know it’s illegal. They have brough all the abuse upon themselves by bringing it to our attention in selling the story to the media. They continue to keep themselves in the spotlight. they’ve exposed their children to all the abuse on internet forums. Jenny has even said she will get her kids to help her close down facebook groups and has had them in arguing her case until 1.30AM one night. What sort of a mother is this woman? Who exposes their kids to all this? And she expects the police to help her? Oh God Jenny, get with the reality program and take yourself out of this world because no matter where you run, you will never be welcome.
