· Man, we are SO glad we made the decision not to invest any of our time watching John Adams. Wake us when it's over. [YouTube]
· Sarah Silverman and Matt Damon are fucking a dead horse. Indeed. [CC Insider]
· Hate sci-fi but love international politics? Vulture's guide to Season Four of Battlestar Galactica is just what the spin doctor ordered. [Vulture]
· Mena Suvari not only plays work out tapes by Fonda, but we also hear she's got a motor in the back of her Honda. Most surprising/disgusting shots of Suvari since she took a dump on camera in Spun. [Egotastic]

Come on, now! Don't be harshing on 'John Adams.' It's been a really great series. It may even inspire me to read the biography!
Hahahaha - just kidding. Books are for sissies.

On John Adams- I was pretty impressed with the buck naked tarring and feathering, and Ben Franklin in the bath tub with some nasty old French skank. It's been pretty interesting. If you're going to knock John Adams, knock his VERY BRIEF sex act with his wife when they're reunited!

Most boring series ever. "John Adams" portrays John Adams as a whiny troll, or maybe that's how Giamatti is playing him. I think he's better as a second lead or color part, not the leading man. Doesn't know what to do with it. Just saying.

I tried to enjoy the John Adams and just couldn't get into it at all. I guess I hate our freedoms.

I am loving on 'John Adams', but then again I really enjoyed the book. After I finished reading, I immediately put John Adams the man at the top of my list of Founding Fathers I Was Under-Appreciating.
You should really see this list.

I watched John Adams for an hour wondering why this crushing bore kept blocking my view of Ben Franklin.

Hey, Giamatti's no William Daniels, true - but I am really enjoying his phlegmatic, whiny, no-lack-of-ego, John Adams. Particularly his relationship with Laura Linney.
I think it might indeed inspire my own sissy self to read the hard copy.

Apparently their new tagline is, "It's not contagious. It's HBO."

I don't get the HBO, so I went to yet another production of 1776. In San Jose. DAMN FINE. Cannot recommend it enough; their Adams and Franklin were terrific. See it if you can this weekend. (I have no financial connection with the production, just love the show)
(perhaps the coughing was why he was obnoxious and disliked?)

There is a subtlety to this production which is charming and the CGI and period recreations are terrific. Not everyone's cup of tea but I do not miss.
