Gwyneth Paltrow's Fetish For Kinky Shoes Reveals Her Inner Bad Girl

We've always tended to label the polished, well-spoken Gwyneth Paltrow as one of those overly perfect women you want to hate but, irritatingly, can't muster up any good reasons to. But thanks to her recent habit of promoting Iron Man across the globe while wearing some of the most fierce, outlandish, downright kinky pairs of shoes, we officially have no desire to hate the girl anymore. From Rome to London to New York, Paltrow's wildly varied kickers range from towering 7-inch beauties to strappy lace-up ankle booties. And we (well, I) want 'em all. A closer look at Gwyneth's racy choices after the jump.
As we witnessed a few weeks ago, Gwyneth debuted her new S&M-esque contraptions at a Manhattan benefit, and seems to have grown so fond of shockworthy shoes that she's traipsing around Europe displaying even higher heels, strappier boots, and a pair of Louboutins reaching seven inches high. Paired with her new, shorter hairdo, we're warming up to the newly daring Gwyneth. Soon enough, we may even forgive her for naming her kids after fruits and sea-dividing religious leaders.

Um, is "she's a massive and unrelenting bitch whose sense of entitlement threatens to squeeze the last breath of life from anyone and everyone who has the misfortune of having to deal with her" not a good reason anymore?

@psych101: I think all women are attractive. There are times that Gwyneth (and Drew Barrymore, occasionally) looks either like a supermodel or...I can't put it in words.

I always thought La Paltrow was a talentless bore, but walking in those shoes = talent. And they're definitely not boring. So good for her, I guess.

Okay, shoe envy, maybe. But why does she insist on wearing short dresses with no hose/jewelry/makeup? Seriously, always some teeny boring dress with ugly/great shoes. Boring. Milquetoast. Blah.

@Juancho: The term I've heard used in regards to this aspect of her is "jolie-laide" ("pretty and ugly").
I constantly get told I look like her, so I can relate. Some days/from the right angle I look great, but in others I could send small children screaming away. Oh well, ya work it on the days it works, I guess. I wouldn't mind adding those shoes to the resemblance, though!

On 9/11/01 she was in NYC, and she was quotd afterwards as saying that she immediately fled the area, because she thought celebs would be the next targets. I couldn't find the quote but I hate her for her lack of true New York grit,( however irrational that grit may be) esp after years as the darling of Miramax.

Ever since those stories which described her as "adventurous" and "insatiable", I've always taken notice of Ms. Paltrow. I haven't actually seen many of her movies, but I do have to say that the shoes sort of go with her previous image.

Forget the heels, that dress is WAY TOO SHORT. It makes her look desperate and slightly lumpy. And it's a recurring thing -- her dresses are all about this length. It's unflattering (and yes, she's in good shape, but no matter -- five inches longer would do her many favors).
