Consciously Or Not, 'The Dark Knight' Pays Homage To Tim Burton

A clever mashup from CollegeHumor.com suggests Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight—the hotly anticipated, second chapter of his radical re-envisioning of the Batman franchise for Warner Bros.—might be less of a radical re-envisioning than we might have been led to believe. Frankly, they could prove the entire thing was lifted frame-by-frame from an NYU film school thesis project, we wouldn't be any less excited about it. Dark Knight! Whooo! Movie of the summer! The side-by-side "trailers" are after the jump:

That is the dumbest thing ive seen..The reason they look similar is because they are the same characters and for the record jacks joker looks nothing at all even close to heaths joker.

If you think the scene where the-should-be-intelligent Batman tried to kill a single person (even that was The Joker but still.. a single person) using missile rockets launched from his batplane was cool and the movie was the best of all Batman movies, well, you would find me heavily disagree with you.
However, the part when Batman face-to-face with The Joker using his batpod was so similar with batplane vs The Joker in 1989's Batman.. only, Nolan executed the scene in a better and clever way.

If the writer of this article did his homework, he'd find that this is not the original 1989 preview from Burton's Batman; it's a highly edited version made to look like Nolan's trailer done by a fan.

Very very funny... I love both versions, Burton and Nolan...
But in my opinion, both movies are diferent, you can“t discuss about diferents perspectives or about the character treatments... Maybe we can discuss about wich version is more popular, or likeable... for a market..

They're also both blatant ripoffs of a comic book in which a man dressed like a bat chases around a guy in white facepaint.

So, wait a minute, I'm confused... Michael Keaton, Morgan Freeman, and Michael Caine were in a movie together?

Well, that's proof positive, but It's hopeless, isn't it. I still have to be there for it, first day front row center. Same thing with James Bond. I KNOW it's crap. But it's like trying to be a Christian Scientist convincing yourself that you don't have malaria. Every two or three years, the new attack comes and the shivering starts.

No one believes the upper frame is an actual Tim Burton Batman trailer, right? We all know that's just a selection of clips meant to emulate the Dark Knight trailer, right? Okay, just making sure.

Don't worry, he still doesn't make any attempts to disturb his beautiful face with any show of emotions.

I don't care how creative it is, as long as Christian Bale's face is invoved.

More importantly, Christian Bale is shirtless throughout the movie, correct?
