The 'Lost Boys 2' Trailer Premiere: Now With 100% Less Corey Haim!

With 21 years dividing the first The Lost Boys from its sequel The Lost Boys 2: Return to Lost Boys Island (An Interactive Sing n' Say DVD Adventure), we weren't expecting much from its trailer premiere on MTV.com; recapturing adolescent-vampire lighting-in-a-bottle, after all, seemed to us as unlikely a scenario as Corey Haim securing work from a trade ad announcing his splashy return to the game.
Just like we feared, the results are decidedly mixed, as while Santa Carla's immortal tweens population still seems to be up to all manner of bloodsucking hoodlumism, the complete absence of Corey Feldman's name-sharing, platonic life-partner from the proceedings suggests to us that Haim's eventual inclusion in the production whose shunning once made him cry was symbolic at best.

Just watched the movie, It was cool but It could have done without alot of the lame college life crap that they think they have to throw into every new movie. Vampires with video cameras talking about posting things on youtube and acting like they are on jack ass, skateboarding chase scenes, and the vampires cave even has a built in half pipe, Come on! stop already!
Other than that it was not a big blockbuster of a movie but a step above the typical scifi movies with small budgets being put out lately.
Haim was in the movie but only as a 10 second cameo and at the very end of the movie after the credits started already, and in full makeup, did not know it was him till I saw his name in the credits. Also the guy that was suposed to play the other frog brother was suposed to be in the movie but it did not happen, instead his character is suposed to be dead before the movie even starts.
if you like vamp movies or feldman go check it out.

That was amazing. When I saw Feldman with his headband on I really thought it was a flashback to the original.Bring back Alex Winter and I'm in.

it did look cheaper/ cheesier, and suckier (not a pun) that I would have even imagined.

Guys, please don't gang up on me. I really did want to like this trailer. I heart the original (as cheesy as it is), but this is just a bunch of no-name pretty boys acting "extreme." Bring on Harold and Kumar as the Brothers Frog.

File this under "Who Gives A Fuck?". It should be nestled right next to the inevitable "Goonies 2" folder.
I liked Feldman better when he was fighting Jason Voorhees.

Cool your jets, Benny.
(Actually, I agree with you. I've just been waiting for the opportunity to say that.)

Dude. It matches the tone of the original exactly. The art direction, the cinematography, the ambiguously gay gang of vampires, Corey being bat shit insane... it's an actual Lost Boys movie. And that's all I ask for. It looks like it was made by genuine fans. ...We should be so lucky for all sequels of its kind.

Are you out of your effing mind? This looks like crap. Yes, nice inclusion of Cry Little Sister, but this looks like dreck. And not even good dreck. They should at least bring back Billy Wirth for a cameo!

That looks fucking awesome. Every detail is spot on. Who would have thought that with all the crappy remakes and sequels out there the one faithful continuation of a franchise would be frickin Lost Boys? ...Extra points for Cry Little Sister.

Damn. Feldman hasn't aged a day. With the same hair as he had in the original, I can barely tell the difference between old Feldman and new Feldman. You would think the drugs would have made that impossible.

@jerebo: I'll join up with Team Jerebo and say that Lost Boys: The Tribe looks like the over-polished, over-commercialized, soulless fluff that is meant to appeal to Generation Y. None of the feel of the original is there. Once again, you get the Hot Topic version of what was originally pretty cool.
But will I see it? You bet your ass! Hopefully Direct to Video which is where it belongs.

The original trailer was just a clusterfuck of scenes:

But still so awesome AND shirtless dude is in it.

Zedrocorpse?
I meant zerocorpse. Great, my attempt at being somewhat smooth has totally fucked me. Not to mention all the other typos in that post.

You may be right Sugar Malone... if that is your real name (cough, zedrocorpse, cough).
However, I just hope you're not. Most of these sprts pf sequels don't even bother trying to establish the same tone. This one loks tohave goneall out, even though it's modernised on a much smaller budget. I'll take that over the alternative.

Feldman is a Phoenix.
He will return again, and again, and again.
Bravo!
