Aria Experienced: Weekly Singles Round-Up

Because we're nothing if not connected and hip to the modern idiom here at Defamer Australia, from now on each week we plan to bring you the latest moves and shakes from the pointy end of the ARIA Singles Chart, so you can, dunno, talk about it on your lunchbreak, or decide what to spend your hard-earned pocket money on to help up the charts.
So here you are, the ARIA Singles Chart's official Top Fifteen for the week beginning 31st March, 2008!
1 LOW Flo Rida Feat. T-Pain 2 DON'T STOP THE MUSIC Rihanna 3 CRANK THAT Soulja Boy 4 BLEEDING LOVE Leona Lewis 5 TATTOO Jordin Sparks 6 WORK Kelly Rowland 7 PICTURES OF YOU The Last Goodnight 8 NAUGHTY GIRL Mr G 9 PIECE OF ME Britney Spears 10 WITH YOU Chris Brown *11 BUBBLY Colbie Caillat 12 SWEET ABOUT ME Gabriella Cilmi 13 I DON'T DO SURPRISES Axle Whitehead 14 UNTOUCHED The Veronicas *15 LIKE ONLY A WOMAN CAN Brian McFaddenApart from the fact that we find the title of Potato's song - which, confusingly, is #15 with a bullet (yes, that's what the asterixes mean) - more than a little alarming, we're baffled to see Axle "Dick Flash" Whitehead roaring to the top of the charts (horrible, really, but they love that, the little girls) and rather pleased that Mr G's magnum opus has managed to crack the top ten. We're all about novelty singles here at Defamer Australia.
If you want to revel in the rest of the Top 50, hit up ARIA, and we'll be back next week to chart (ARF! Sorry.) the comings and goings of the money end of the $4-buck chuck CD market.

I only gave Axle's song a hearing after knowing he was a peen flasher. Somehow it makes a ballad by a bloke more tolerable when the guy in question is unafraid to get his freak on in public. Good song. Good times.

Just on that Axle song - is describing it as "Coldplay Lite" a tautology? Should I just say "it's shite"?
