Lily Allen’s Fist Of Pure Emotion Fails To Keep Chat Show Audience Back For Good

lilyallen2RUCKAS_468x398.jpgWe’re considering installing a button on Defamer Australia’s online editing program that automatically inserts the phrase “Poor old Lily Allen has been having a rough trot of it lately…”

This is because her rough trot continues to continue, this week with the news that she suffered mass audience walk-outs on the set of her new chat show, Lily Allen And Friends, and things aren’t looking much better for her show now.

During her debut show Lily Allen And Friends, which aired on BBC Three last night, the singer resorted to showing off a rather stale party trick in an effort to entertain the crowd.

The Smile singer was seen putting her entire fist into her mouth during the show, which was panned as “horrible” and “limp” by some members of the studio audience.

She also persuaded guest Cuba Gooding Jr to strip in an attempt to keep the viewers amused after saying, “feel free to get naked.”

Hang on, putting fists in mouths, telling people “feel free to get naked” – is the crowd certain they’d bought tickets for Lily’s chat show, and not for the swingers night she organises monthly in a terrace in Notting Hill with a bunch of young professionals who like to “shake things up a bit”?

Why do the Brits keep giving pop princesses their own shows, thinking they’ll be any good? They’re SINGERS not COMEDIENNES. Right. Got it? Good.
(P.S. I love Kylie and Lily – just not their interviewing skills. Charlotte Church? – not so much.)
