It’s sad. These people are lost and looking to feel good about themselves. It does not matter if you are TC and have so many blessings and loads of money, you still have pains and voids when you CLEARLY have a PD. That is personality disorder, a human term…..
I hope Tom finds peace within this cult, but I hate to point out the obvious, any good person could help someone on the side of the road…
But also Scientology is a choice and if Katie wants to be a part of this world, who really cares…not our problem, but if I were Mr. Holmes I would call another attorney and just get ready for battle…

  • Ty

Anybody feel like your watching a Michael Scott interview from the Office, only creepier?

“I wish I could go frolick and play, I do…”

  • Huh?

    Take his children away. Now.

  • flower

Get WHAT done? What the hell is he talking about?? He’s a total whack job.

On the plus side – he sure knows how to work a dramatic pause!

    Run Katie… RUN!!!

  • Lulu

What is he even talking about?

  • Julia

I’m all for anyone who finds peace from any kind of spirituality. But, sadly, it appears that Tom Cruise does not actually BELIEVE what he is saying.

He may need a good Hollywood writer!

Wow. Sad. The world IS a beautiful place, Tom.

And despite all his freakish laughter, he seems really unhappy and confused.

  • KJ

Where are his parents? he needs a hard slip across the noggin. “tommy wake up” A perfect example of a human brain transplant. He needs help! I hope there are too many Tom Cruise’s out there. Can you see it, “Cruisetown” frightening?.

  • Ron

Geee, c’mon people, that really convinced me. We know that Tom’s … I mean well he’s obviously the only, um, well if there’s going to be any progress for mankind, then we should all just, uhhh, you know be part of , uhhh, well, perhaps we should try to help Tom, he’s apparently uhh, the, uhh, only, um, you know, if we don’t, then who? I mean really look around you … see all the help that we coould, uhhh, offer to the world, by uhhh, um, being there and babbling incoherently like Tom, um, if we don’t help in this same manner, then who?. I’m just saying. Pinky swear. No, really. God help us all.

This is proof that having a lot of money can lead to a false sense of power followed by a greater need of power that all that money can no longer buy. Then follows the delusional belief that you are the most important person on the planet…that without you…the world will not survive. I think he needs to put on the purple Nikes and ride the comet’s tail up to the mother ship. Sound familiar? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heaven’s_Gate_(cult) We should be so lucky.

  • R U Kidding???

Either Tom is on drugs or is psychotic. My guess is the latter. I agree w/ the person who said he’s acting like a person in a manic phase and I am an RN. Tom, I suggest you pick up a copy of the Bible and read it OR if that’s too scary…pick up a copy of Lee Strobel’s book “Case for Faith”. Believe it or not, Christains believe in helping and loving all people. What is your definition of help? Just to have people join your little cult?? If that’s not the case then I could use some money to help pay my bills!! No? thought so. Ha Ha!! You’re really a kook. That interview was almost 10 mins. long and you said nothing that had any content to it. I suggest you seek help, and quickly!!

Was scientology formed on a bet? I thought L Ron did it so he could shelter money (by forming a “religion” with all its tax benefits out of scientology)
Who has Tom ever helped??? Wait, he helped me. I just laughed a lot as I listened to this. Thanks for the giggle, Tom.

  • Bestion

    Tom Cruise :
    a great comic actor.
We sure need you and we’re depending on you.
    To laugh some more.

  • JJ

WTF?!? That was hilarious. The only thing that could be funnier is if the writer’s weren’t on strike and the SNL cast hasked Ethan Hawke to spoof it on the show. Didn’t it look like that was Ethan pretending to be Tom?

  • Kat

    OK, Seriously.
Scientology has taken this off Youtube, you’d think they’d be happy having a famous actor advertising this. It makes them look ‘normal’ and not ‘wierd’.

    He needs Help

  • Bob

    What’s the frequency, Kenneth?

  • Concerned

OK, I think everyone has a right to their own opinins on religions. They have the right to worship who they want and what they want. “BUT”, when you die, where do you go??? “NO ONE come to the Father but by Me”. Jesus Christ is the ONLY way to Heaven, Not your good works or deeds. Not for just going to church, not for just saying that you believe that there is a God.
Tom Cruise has lost ALL of my respect and I REFUSE to watch anymore of his movies. I am not a Scientologist and if I see someone in a care accident, I also stop to help. I had someone die in my arms from a motorcycle accident just 5 months ago. Does this make me a Scientologist because I did that? NO, it makes me the person I am and I am doing what God has called me to do. I just pray for Tom and his family. Especially the baby because she doesn’t know any better right now. I pray for their souls, because if they die right now they would end up in hell. I pray they get their life right with the one and only true God, Jesus Christ our savior.

So if he has NO time taking a vacation because he is too busy converting outsiders to the TRUTH, then how come there are pictures of him and Katie taken in August last year when they were sailing on a yacht in the Mediterranean?
I believe the reason that he is not taking MORE vacation is the fact that he is a rich and famous actor who has paparazzi hunting him wherever he goes.

I’m curious though, how much of this video seems crazy because of our preconceptions of Cruise and Scientology, and because of the editing? Most of what he’s saying is insider jargon, which doesn’t make sense to us, and we already think he’s crazy. The video cuts from scene to scene, presumably picking out the most obscure and wacky soundbites, then moves on.
Sure, it sounds nutty to hear him talk about being the only one who can help at an accident site, but perhaps all he means is that as a Scientologist it’s his responsibility to get out and actually physically help whoever is there. Granted, that’s probably not the case, but we have no way of knowing because the video cuts away before he can explain himself, and are left to assume the worst.
You could take a biologist’s lecture on honeybee behaviour and cut it into something that makes him sound like a madman if you chose the right segments.
I would be interested to see an uncut version of the video, maybe with an explanation of the insider terms Cruise uses. I’ve no doubt it would still sound completely insane, but at least it would treat the subject fairly.

“I am the one Neo, now F’k off!” – Tom Cruise

    Classic!

  • Anndrea

I don’t think I will ever be able to watch a Tom Cruise movie again without thinking about his “performance” in this video.

    RE: In or OUT!
I had a friend who worked for a scientologist. His boss spent more & more of his time (& money) being brainwashed at the Florida center while my friend did all the work. One day the guy returns to NYC and gives my buddy a scientology intro book. A couple of days later he asked him what he thought of the book. My buddy said it didn’t interest him. He was then told that the company henceforth will only do business with scientologists and that he’d better make a decision…In or OUT!

  • Dave Fouts

I think there is a knee jerk reaction these days to anyone who takes an aggressive stand on people being reposnsible for themselves, the status quo is to let people off the hook and not demand accountability for anything. I just saw someone who thinks he has to be responsible to his belief, I also believe that he is addressing his comments to other Scientologists and the editing is such that you really don’t know what the questions were.. I would need more information before I made any negative association..

  • Dave Fouts

Dear Concerned, your comments scare me much more then anything in the video, we can beleive what we want but if we don’t believe as you do we are going to hell, who is the scary one here and who is the brainwashed one.

  • Born again pagan

He’s ready to help others, he and the other Scientologists are the only ones who really can…nobody else’s help is real help…well, Tom, are you waiting for people to see the light before you help them? I guess that’s why we haven’t heard anything in the news…

  • Richard Warwick

If it was between fundamental Christianity and Scientology think I’d go for the latter because even that is less crazy than those totally wild, over the top claims about Jesus. (Just noticed some of the inevitable postings with all that Heaven crap WHICH IS A MAD DELUSION.)
