Roseanne Barr blogs her take on Oprah and Barack Obama: "barak [sic] obama is an empty suit selling 'hope' in lieu of Truth. He has no ideas, no plan and nothing to add other than the cynical pacification of the masses with bedtime stories about hope, while calling Unions 'special interest groups' that need to be done away with...Oprah, you play the race card and the gender card too. You are a closeted republican and chose Barak Obama because you do not like other women who actually stand for something to working American Women besides glamour, angels, hollywood and dieting! It is historical that Oprah Winfrey, beloved of women, chooses a flashy man with small credentials over a seasoned woman politician with 35 years of experience...and sells that to the female demographic who look to her for inspiration!" Johnny Depp.
I think once a reporter asked him about politics, and his reply: "I'm an actor. Why are you asking me this?"

You know, when I think "just who's celebrity opinion should I really look up to in this political era of unrest and deadlock bi-partisanship, when educating myself on the issues is simply too much work," I think of Roseanne Barr.
Shit, waitaminute, no I don't.
It's Ryan Phillippe. I get them confused all the time.
Dammit! No. Crap...who am I thinking of?

Interesting. Scrolling through the list of guest on Rosanne's talk show, there is not one politician listed as a guest. [www.imdb.com]

I think Michelle Obama might have something to say about those small credentials...

Oprah has done this before. Steadman over Gayle?
OH MY GOD!
OBAMA'S is Oprah's new Steadman!

By the way, the two most credentialed presidents in our lifetimes were Nixon and Bush I.

Where's Marlon Brandon when you need him? I believe he pointed out the bullshit that transpires when people ask celebrites to cast their opinions on anything more than what they wore to an awards ceremony...
oh - there are no awards ceremonies at the moment - I get it...

I'm sure Obama is terrified about losing all those white trash votes that Roseanne has influence over... because I'm sure that demographic is really behind him. Mmhmm. I'm fairly certain the folks who dig Roseanne also have Confederate flags as their living room curtains.

Off her meds again. Her posts on poor Mitt Romney read like the Protocols of the Elders of Zion.

@Colonel Mustard: The only thing Roseanne is in danger of getting crushed by is--oh never mind. Sometimes it's just too damn easy.

Roseanne is crazy, no doubt, but I'm no fan of Oprah. I have to give credit to anyone with the stones to take her to task without fear of getting crushed by a legion of housewives in free Cadillacs.

Hate to say it, but Roseanne's right. Also, has anyone else noticed Obama's incredible ever-changing dialects?

@WasatchMan: I was kind of hoping for Mitt Romney, because this country could use a White House gay scandal.

Roseanne's web account was suspended. Oprah has more power than I thought! Just ask Dave Chappelle.

@TryThisAtHome: Sure have! His drawl in Iowa was pathetic--but part of the aw-shucks/regular guy guise that got us Bush II. Folks in Illinois wonder where the frosh senator has been--certainly not helping to fix their many crises while out campaigning, damned sure.

@TryThisAtHome: Indeed! In Iowa, his drawl was all part of the aw-shucks approach that won us Bush II. Folks in Illinois are wondering where the freshman senator is--out campaigning means non-existent voting record, and that state's politic is in too ugly a mess to neglect at present. just sayin'.

Agreeing with Roseanne is like admitting that KFed is the better parent, but...yeah, Obama is all hat and no cattle.
