From one Queer comic to another, Ellen, Margaret Cho wants you to know that she loves you. Adores you. She just refuses to do your show: "[B]ecause of the way that I was raised, because my political views are they way they are, because I believe that workers should have the power and the ability to make their lives better, because many of my close friends are the ones picketing, I cannot cross the picket line." Fine, Margaret. Take a stand--see if Ellen cares. No dancing for you! [HuffPo]

@queensissy: By her own definition.

Um, how are you defining "queer"? Because I went to her wedding a few years back.

She's bisexual now, but she keeps changing her mind.
BUT Ellen should so totally cave on this, because Margaret Cho has studied burlesque. I have a DVD (Hot Moves for Cool Chicks) from her instructor, Princess Farhana, and it's hilarious. Ellen is missing out bigtime and besides, Margaret is right. Fucking over the little people is no way to get ahead in life.

Maybe somehow the WGA strike can magically cause Ellen to take an extended leave, leading somehow to a talk-show hosted by Cho? It would be cancelled in a week, but imagine that week. Sigh.
I would also like to see her stop by the View just to eviscerate Elizabeth Hasselbeck once a week.

You're right, fucking over the little people is no way to get ahead in life. It's fucking the big people that gets you the work!

Actually we had Margaret, but you figured that out despite the typo, right?

@queensissy: Before Kathy Griffin became the gay man's best real-girl girlfriend since Joan Rivers we had Mararet.

Cho is brilliantly funny. Ellen was brilliantly funny until the Daytime TV moneywagon dumped bland-o-rama all over her head. I say Cho, Ellen and, what the heck even Rosie hit the road for the most hilarious and edgy comedy tour ever hosted by three lesbians who've all been in their own special way dumped by ABC. Dykes on Mics! Sappho Laugho? Lilith Queer?

Ellen is cutting herself off from the DANCE OF THE AGES here, I'm telling you.

Why am I reminded of a RealDoll when I look at her?
Oh yeah - the downpayment. Thanks Defamer!

Though it offers shit-all by way of insight on this topic, I saw Margaret Cho at the Dresden last Monday. I suppose I could add that Margaret seems like she'd be a lot more fun at the Dresden then Ellen would be. Ellen's needy.

Looking at that pic above, Miss Cho has definitely scrubbed up - I remember seeing her live act a few years ago - and the flannel shirt, ripped jeans, and work boots screamed "Diesel"...

@nonce: I would even settle for a talk-show hosted by Clea Lewis, the actress who played Ellen's screechy-voiced friend on 'Ellen'. She makes hot-to-trot cats sound like Sebastian Cabot...

@Her Royal Empress Dr. Bufflekins III, Esq.: @Her Royal Empress Dr. Bufflekins III, Esq.: Ha! I saw her at the Improv last Wednesday. And Margaret's a lot more fun everywhere.
@Miss d: And this is pretty much what she was wearing that night.
