God love those scamps at Uncle Rupert’s Journalist Sweatshop – they’ve popped up a couple of happy snaps from last night’s ARIA awards (our thoughts on the results are coming soon, although so is Christmas…) and we couldn’t help but gently chuckle to ourselves as we sipped on a mug of hot cocoa, gleefully revelling in their double-whammy of a picture labelling fuck up.

Sure, the lovely Wally De Backer aka Gotye isn’t quite a household name yet, but ‘Gotyer’? Why not call the country’s Best Male Artist ‘Goiter’ and be done with it? And as for dubbing Missy Higgins – hardly an unknown figure in the Australian entertainment scene – ‘Sarah Blasko’… well, we applaud your sheer half-arsed approach to reporting. Cut that down to a quarter-arsed approach, and you’ll be running even with Defamer Australia!
