I believe… Carly is a moron. Darren Hayes is human like most other people. He just has an ego the size of Mars, and he is capable of being an arrogant (and, yes, racist) dickhead just as he was capable of “splitting” Savage Love and telling the press before his bandmate.

I believe that if he did snap, and yes, it has been seen before re the waitress incident on the too close for comfort dcd, it was provoked, and the racist comment may have been a) off the cuff or b) nothing racist was said, but it was concocted by the waiter because he wanted to bring Darren down (and was of a different race).
