As I said I wasn't going to watch BB while Sandilands was in residence there but a friend rang me to see what a fool he was making of himself in the diary room.
Worse than any turkey slap, far worse than BB uplate, was the blatant sexism and threatened violence shown by Sandilands towards the female BB for whom he would not remove his cap.
You will notice that he removed it for the male BB.
Hitherto I have been a longtime fan of BB,seeing it as a sociological exercise and enjoying most of it.
However this weekend BB sank to a low from which I fear it will never recover.
Had I been a parent with a young child in the audience who was subjected to Sandilands' 'Treat me like the star I am' performance I would have walked out.
Far funnier, far more interesting, were the transvestites BB threw in from time to time.I found nothing offensive about them.
I loved all the gays, interesting people, all.
If Sandilands was there for advertising for Idol he showed himself in his true colours.......only one colour actually, yellow.

And YES...........Zach for winner!

What's with all the Big Brother coverage? ...Who gives a crap?

Give us a reason NOT to just click over to the U.S. version.

DA: Don't sook! We never post on a Sunday night. We made a special exception due to drunken operatives running amuck. Monday will be as normal as... erm... normal.

So tired of waiting up on Sunday nights for this mind numbing BB crap to finish so that I can watch cars or bikes going round in circles. I wish I could turkey slap the channel Ten programming department. Seriously Ten, how many people could watch this crap? Oh, got to go the Motogp is finally on, and only 40 minutes late!

Zach to win, definitely. Hopefully people are prepared to put their money where their mouths are and actually vote for him, multiple times. He's the only one in there with anything resembling a personality, and it's a really sweet, gentle one to boot. Go Zach!

I like the Big Brother coverage, because it's Australian culture. But it also saves me from watching any of the show, which is a big plus. Hearing how much of a wanker Kyle Sandilands is is infinitely preferable to having to suffer through it, for me.

But then, I like the coverage of the UK Big Brother, because they seem to have the sense of the ridiculousness of the situation that the Australian version, a little surprisingly, doesn't. Gretel getting all defensive about anyone who doesn't respect the show enough for her liking just underlines that.

The British Big Brother, however, not only features a house filled with an actual variety of people, unlike the morons who overwhelmingly populate the Australian show and have done for years, but also allows some real humour in how it deals with the housemates. It's a much more playful environment in a very dry way, and I think that's something really missing from our version.

So a vote for more Australian reality TV coverage from here. Some Mark Philipoussis mocking wouldn't go astray, either.

I'm putting my money into save votes for him but have been wondering who to sling some evict votes towards. If we all voted to evict the same person then those votes would have more impact and increase the chances of Zach staying in the house.

Look... I don't want to be a dick. And that's cool that people dig on coverage of stuff like Big Brother and whatever else. But if I want to hear about that element of 'Australian culture' I'll go to one of the other ten thousand blogs covering the subject, you know? I guess what it comes down to is, I'm unconvinced we need an Australian Defamer (seems sort of like an American 'The Office'), but since we've got one, make it what it should be. It's gonna be judged to a higher standard because of it's pedigree, so it needs to be that much more kick ass.

I've decided to increase my vote's to *SAVE* Zach on the basis that others will be voting to evict him.
