Pro Scientology Spiel Doesn't Appear To Have Won Over Sceptics

Over at news.com.au, the president of the Church of Scientology of Melbourne has penned a moving and thought provoking missive encouraging readers to reevaluate their views on Scientology.

Scientology has helped untold numbers of people to put their life back together and make a success of themselves when everything seemed to be stacked against them.

Scientology provides a practical methodology that can be applied to life.

Discrimination is ugly and is the root of all wars and inhumanity to man.

If I could give more money to Scientology I would, and so would many others.

Did Emmanuel Foundas take Speech Writing 101 with Lindsay Tanner, by any chance?

Sadly, it appears many of the comments left by news.com.au readers prove that the world is a cruel and ignorant place full of people who refuse to believe in a world ruled by strange alien spirits and Jenna Elfman.

Whoooooa dudes, I think our Thetan levels have just hit 'crap factor 5'. Wake up to yourselves people, have we become so apathetic and politically correct that we actually consider this 'CULT' a religion. Fair go my A$$! These people (especially those at the top)should be medicated and placed in permanent care until they stop ruining our society with their Sci-Fi money making bullcrap.

Mr Tom Cruise seems to be a perfectly well-adjusted and rational person to me. I am sure the aliens he worships are providing him with excellent guidance.

We really must go and do the IQ test down at Scientology HQ one day, you know.

Scientology became a 'religion' because big money and expensive lawyers said it was...the tax-free advantages are wonderful!! But religion denotes there being a god-head, so we can look forward to seeing Bibles and the odd copy of the Koran at Scientology buildings. It seems only the Germans did the right thing..banned them. Oh, and speaking of Germans....that porn mailing list looks enticing.
