It appears those scallywags-with-feelings won Best Rock Video and Video Of The Year last night at the MTV Video Music Awards!
Which is quite beautiful, really.
Because it has taught a generation of young men that 36 is not too old to wear eyeliner, and that pretending to be down with “the kids” will eventually work out for you, although it may unfortunately lead to everyone with half a brain forgetting you could sort of act once upon a time.In celebration of Jared and friends’ momentous victory against all things good in the world, let’s take a moment to appreciate the award winning video clip for the world’s most emo-titled song evs “The Kill (Bury Me)”.
Of course, we can’t help but feel the video that best compliments such a magnificent song would have to be the one below, featuring a girl, a plethora of MySpace-esque photos of her and her friends, and her “dumb mom”. A mom who understands how to keep it real and street level! And who may be a small, shouty boy!
